Role
The role of the Video Media Buyer is to support GainShare’s U.S. performance clients and work with the buying team to execute successful, integrated media campaigns.
The successful candidate will be forward-thinking about audience-focused solutions. Not only will the candidate possess traditional performance based Linear TV buying skills, but they will also possess a strong understanding of integrated video and converged TV planning and buying. They will be curious, client service-driven, proactive, detailed-oriented, collaborative, passionate, experienced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial – someone who thrives in an ever-evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance based Linear TV buying and planning.
- Executing optimizations and managing linear TV budgets accordingly.
- Analyzing data, thinking creatively, and designing innovative strategies to achieve client KPIs and performance goals.
- Interacting with internal and external partners to evaluate, challenge, refine and execute media plans.
- Planning and development of cross-channel and converged TV media plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Analyzing the client's post-campaign results and recommending refinements and pivots as necessary to deliver the desired business outcomes.
- Manage buy implementation and maintenance - estimate set-up, inputting, booking, pre-logs and clearance management; as well as provide operation support - discrepancies, invoice reconciliation, traffic, post-logs, vendor changes, etc.
- Working closely with internal teams to identify target audiences and develop strategies to target them beyond age/gender breaks, leveraging addressable, data-driven linear and other emerging linear solutions.
- Following media trends of online and offline outlets.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience buying linear TV and video campaigns.
- Terrestrial Radio/Digital Audio knowledge a plus.
- CTV/digital video/programmatic audiences and platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360, Verizon, etc.) knowledge a plus but not required.
- SpectraOX or Mediaocean workflow experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of planning, measurement and analytics tools and ability to assess/recommend solutions to internal team a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills
- An analytical mind with an aptitude for statistics and math.
- Critical thinker/problem solver.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Information
- This position is full-time hybrid (in office 2-3 days a week) in the GainShare Chicago office and reports to the Associate Media Director for the US.
