U.S. Video Media Planner/Buyer


The role of the U.S. Video Media Buyer/Planner is to support GainShare’s U.S. performance video clients and working with the buying team to execute successful, integrated media campaigns across a wide variety of above the line channels.  

The successful candidate will be eager to grow and forward-thinking about audience-focused executions in the video realm and help taking clients from more traditional linear TV campaigns to integrated video buys. Successful candidate will be curious, client service-driven, proactive, detailed-oriented, collaborative, passionate, experienced, dynamic and entrepreneurial who thrives in an ever-evolving environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with GainShare Team, your manager to identify target audiences and develop strategies to target them beyond age/gender/contextual dimensions leveraging addressable, data-driven linear and other emerging linear solutions. 
  • Assist in planning and developing media plans and allocation with addressable TV (OLV, CTV, OTT) and all other media channels (both managed by GainShare and other agencies).  
  • Assist with executing optimizations and managing budgets of linear media. 
  • Analyzing data, thinking creatively, and designing innovative strategies to achieve client KPIs and performance goals. 
  • Interacting with internal and external partners to evaluate, challenge, refine and execute a media plan. 
  • Analyzing the client's post-campaign results and recommending refinements and pivots as necessary to deliver the desired business outcomes. 
  • Follow media trends of online and offline outlets. 


  • 2-3 years’ experience buying linear TV and video campaigns.
  • CTV/digital video/programmatic audiences and platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360, Verizon, etc.) knowledge a plus. 
  • SpectraOX or Prisma by Mediaocean, workflow experience a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of planning, measurement and analytics tools (e.g., Nielsen MarketBreaks, Nielsen Commspoint, TV Squared, iSpot etc.) and ability to assess/recommend solutions to internal team a plus. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.  
  • An analytical mind with an aptitude for statistics and math. 
  • Critical thinker/problem solver. 
  • Strong decision-making skills. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

Additional Information

  • This position is full-time hybrid and reports to Media Director.
  • General work hours are 9am to 5pm CT.
  • Start date is immediately.
