Sr. Video Media Planner/Buyer

Role

The role of the Sr. Video Media Buyer is to support GainShare’s US clients. Role will be a lead in planning and buying of performance video and integrated strategies, working with cross-channel teams to deliver successful, integrated media campaigns across the entire customer journey.

The successful candidate will be audience-focused and forward-thinking in the video realm. Taking clients from more traditional linear TV campaigns to cross-channel, broadcast, connected and online video buys. Successful candidates will be client service-driven, proactive, detailed-oriented, collaborative, passionate, experienced, dynamic and entrepreneurial who thrives in a quick moving, ever-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with GainShare team and clients to understand goals and business objectives to build out and execute strategic video plans taking a data-driven, audience-first approach.
  • Manage buys across various vendors, ensuring we hit planned targets approved by the client.
  • Allocate budgets and monitor costs.
  • Ensure media buys are successfully and correctly input into Broadcast booking system SpectraOX.
  • Update the team on buy status, issues with inventory, programming changes, and optimization recommendations.
  • Evaluate attributed data, test, refine and optimize the media plans to achieve client KPIs and performance goals.
  • Analyzing the client's post-campaign results and recommending optimizations and pivots as necessary to deliver the desired business outcomes.
  • Optimize ad campaigns to efficiency, reach, frequency, and brand health indicators.
  • Oversee billing reports to ensure booked media is in line with client approval.
  • Ensure key information is provided to team regarding billing issues, vendor changes, changes in account status, etc.
  • Discrepancy resolution, supporting Media Coordinators to problem solve on any issue.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience planning and buying for TV and video campaigns.
  • Experience in cross-channel strategic planning with teams or directly
  • CTV Experience and Programmatic platforms buying a plus (e.g., The Trade Desk, DV360, etc.).
  • SpectraOX or Prisma by Mediaocean, workflow experience a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of planning, measurement, and analytics tools (e.g., Nielsen MarketBreaks, Nielsen Commspoint, TV Squared, iSpot etc.) and ability to assess/recommend solutions to internal team a plus. 
  • Familiarity with campaign evaluation metrics and media buying. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook.  
  • An analytical mind with an aptitude for statistics and math. 
  • Critical thinker/problem solver. 
  • Strong decision-making skills. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

Additional Information

  • General work hours 9am to 5pm CT.
  • This position is full-time hybrid and reports to the Media Director.
  • Start date is immediately.
  • Salary TBC.
