Gainshare is revolutionizing how our clients advertise and market on Linear TV and Digital Video. Located in our Chicago office, the Account Director will own and develop integrated performance marketing and advertising for one of our largest partner clients. As the primary contact, you will lead both the client and Gainshare teams in defining the engagements – setting strategic priorities, guiding media approaches, assuring measurable results and the storytelling that solidify GainShare as an invaluable strategic partner to their business.  The ideal candidate is a strong, strategic leader who has a deep understanding of the media landscape particularly Linear TV and Digital Video, excellent client skills and ability to grow business and demonstrate vision for innovative thinking and results. This role will report to the SVP of Account and Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Account Lead for a top-tier international account; driving and managing integrated media strategy, execution and related internal and external media expectations.
  • Leverage your strong understanding of client goals, agency capabilities, the media landscape and measurement to build informed recommendations to drive client goals and growth.
  • Create, nurture and maintain strong strategic partnerships with your clients as well as expand our relationship footprint within the client org to expand the business organically as opportunities arise.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders (Linear, Traditional, Digital channels as well as Analytics and Creative) to address client/team needs, opportunities and concerns quickly, positively and productively.
  • Oversee ongoing media performance and media mix collaboration with internal channel teams and clients in the ongoing execution of media strategies.
  • Serve as connector to cross functional specialties and proactively seek out opportunities to integrate business opportunities and analytics offerings.
  • Develop and implement media planning and strategy playbooks by client to create ongoing shared learnings and best practices.
  • Lead the integrated media team, fostering strong, collaborative relationships and innovative approaches to media planning and execution.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of account management and / or media planning in a dynamic business environment.
  • Deep expertise with all major paid media channels (Traditional and Digital). Experience in leading paid media accounts a must.
  • Data-driven and customer centric Leader that aligns strategy and vision for customer needs
  • Problem solver with the ability to drive to solutions in complex situations.
  • Campaign management experience including overseeing all aspects of clients’ campaigns including strategic planning, execution, optimization, and analysis.
  • Proven experience overseeing multichannel media campaigns and multi-million-dollar media budgets.
